Ellen
Seto was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and has been a resident
of Dunedin, FL since 1991. She is a Registered Nurse, working
full time at Turning Point of Tampa, a residential treatment facility
for persons suffering from alcoholism, drug and gambling addictions,
eating disorders and codependency. She is also a licensed massage
therapist.
She
took piano lessons in the third, fourth & fifth grades, and
had no idea that time was setting the stage for a life long live
and appreciation of music. Those three years were the extent of
her formal music education.
While
in high school, she was actively involved in school shows, glee
club and choir and as an adult, continued singing in church choirs.
She eventually taught herself some basic guitar and was given
the opportunity by Jackie, to sing and play the guitar at church.
One
day at a local Arts & Crafts Festival, she came upon a woman
playing a lever (non-pedal) harp and fell in love with it immediately.
She knew at that moment, somehow, someway, someday she would play
the harp. After researching the Internet, she found the answer
to her prayers, a harp rental program. She was able to afford
to rent a harp to determine if this gentle and ethereal instrument
was right for her and her for it.
With
God's guidance, she was led to a local harp teacher and after
one lesson was encouraged (or pushed) by Jackie to play the harp
at church the following Sunday. Shortly after that time, Jackie,
Debbie and Ellen became "Blended Energy".
Since
then, she has been invited to perform numrous times, with a Harp
Ensemble at Calvery Baptist Church, High Teas, Pastoral Anniversary
Celebrations and for special occasions at the Dunedin Country
Club.
Ellen
continues to be grateful for the opportunities God has provided
in growing musically and spiritually as part of "Blended
Energy".
